Hawai‘i Kai Lions Club to patch sidewalks in Hawai‘i Kai

HONOLULU – On Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., members of the Hawai‘i Kai Lions Club will inspect and patch concrete sidewalk hazards along sections of Wailua Street, as part of the District 50 Lions’ Safe Sidewalks initiative. This project is being performed under the coordination of the City’s Mālama O Ka ‘Āina community volunteer program, which is administered by the Department of Facility Maintenance, Division of Road Maintenance (DRM).

The City is grateful for this partnership, and to the members of the Hawai‘i Kai Lions Club for donating their time and resources. These volunteers supply a much-needed service to the City and greatly assist in creating a safer experience for our communities and residents.

To find out more about volunteer opportunities, please call DRM at (808) 768-3606.
